AWS Future Builders: The AI Career Dialogue

AWS Future Builders: The AI Career Dialogue took place on 9 October 2026 at Building 12W, Hong Kong Science Park. Organised by Amazon Web Services with HKSTP support, the event explored AI skills, cloud computing and career development. This page is an archived event reference.

What AWS Future Builders covered

The published program included AI and cloud learning, career discussions and networking. It connected technical topics with questions about the skills people need as technology changes. For the original program and organizer information, read the official HKSTP event listing.

Prepare for AI career conversations

First, choose an area you want to understand, such as cloud computing, AI development or product work. Then review a relevant role description and identify the skills you already use. Prepare one question about a requirement that is still unclear.

For example, you could ask how a team evaluates an AI tool, what a junior colleague contributes to a project or how employees keep their technical knowledge current. These questions can make a career conversation more useful than simply asking whether an organisation is hiring.

Turn your learning into a project

Choose a small problem you can investigate with your current skills. Describe who experiences it, what you plan to test and how you will judge the result. Afterwards, record what worked and what you would change. This gives you a concrete example to discuss in future applications.

If you attended the event, share a specific takeaway through Graduate Field Notes. Explain what you learned in your own words and distinguish your experience from the published programme.
