Prepare for university career fairs
University career fairs can help you research employers and ask questions about graduate roles and internships. However, a useful visit starts with preparation. Use the campus sections above to choose a fair that fits your interests and check the organiser’s information before attending.
Research employers before your visit
First, review the organiser’s exhibitor list and shortlist employers you want to meet. Then browse relevant graduate job listings to understand the skills and qualifications they seek. An archived employer list can support research, but it does not confirm attendance at a future fair.
Ask focused questions at the fair
Prepare a short introduction and bring an updated CV when appropriate. For example, ask about the work graduates do, how teams support new starters and what the recruitment process involves. In addition, note application deadlines and any follow-up instructions.
Follow up after university career fairs
Afterwards, review your notes and decide which roles deserve a closer look. If a recruiter invited you to follow up, send a brief message that refers to your conversation. You can also share a practical preparation tip through Graduate Field Notes below.
Confirm dates and access rules
Check the All Events & Master Calendar for an overview. For first-hand information, visit the official HKUST Career Mosaic page and the official links in each campus section. Before travelling, confirm the current schedule, visitor eligibility and registration requirements. Archived entries describe past fairs.
